Video-conferences
Video-conferences are open to groups and cover the subject of your choice, whether it be thematic (for example: light and shadow, reunions etc.) or historical (the major dance trends etc.). It is firstly prepared with the person in charge and takes place in the Jacques Demy theatre, with its 42-place tiered seating. A session lasts from 60 to 90 minutes and alternates extracts from our archives – filmed shows, documentaries, dance films – with time for talks about the subjects around which the conference is constructed. The level and discussion is adapted to each age group, with large nursery sections for teachers in training. The picture is one of the best vectors adapted to transmitting the subject of dance and it has become a source of emotion, wonder and discovery!
Wishing to make this practical tool available to teachers, at the request of the CNDP the Maison de la Danse has developed a boxed set of two educational DVDs entitled Le Tour du monde en 80 danses (around the world in 80 dances).
