At once star portrait and Fifties reminiscence, this ambiguous piece seeks to shed light on the many facets of Frank Sinatra. It revisits the life of the unforgettable crooner and actor through the body – for after all, wasn’t “Ol’ Blue Eyes” primarily a presence? The awesome staging – grand staircase, glistening horn section, NYC ballroom ambience – is filled with objects: 150 evening outfits, life-sized dolls... How can dance render talent and its shadows? The choreographers take us on that journey, from dreams to oblivion.
