La Maison
Pacifique (création 2010)

Is the stage a beach, boat, bar or aquarium? The enigma stays intact. But the audience, invited to dive deep into the picture, are totally immersed. Pacifique, a show equivalent to cinematic day-for-night, perhaps has a less tranquil undercurrent than its title suggests. Fluid and disturbing, water conceals mysteries; so do group relationships. In a set that revisits ‘70s costumes and design, roleplay, masks and appearances yield incongruous and offbeat situations as the performers tell tales, some about James Bond.
