The mythical American company Momix, directed by Moses Pendleton, marks its return to the Maison de la Danse with Bothanica, a poetic and extravagant homage to Mother Nature. Momix: two syllables which have echoed over the whole world for thirty years like a magic formula. A formula that stands for unbridled gestural invention, special effects and unlikely images which the people of Lyon have the chance to get to know well.
The dancers’ almost sporty physicality, the plays on shadows and lights, the modification of the original purpose of props and the optical illusions delight audiences of all ages. With the explosion of shapes, colours and movements, Momix tests everything the body can do in a whirl which takes the audience from surprise to surprise.
