They are both slender, supple, their muscles toned just as they should be, perfectly plucked, clean and handsome. They can be forgiven even when they disco dance, their hips keep the beat with such elegance. They can even be forgiven for being intelligent. For there can be no doubt on that count, to see how they deliver their barbed and distanced humour with sharp thrusts and without batting an eyelid. Everything flows from the source of their impeccable bodies, which play on metamorphoses and ambiguous identities. But this is done with a nod towards self-mockery and with their entirely personal interpretation of the word sexy. The two brilliant dancers and choreographers Marco Delgado and Nadine Fuchs, based in Bern in Switzerland, play shrewdly on our rules of presentation. In girly pink and boyish blue costumes, necessarily skintight gym clothes, almost naked without quite being naked, they strike a faultless note with a startling freshness.
