Throughout the year, at the Maison de la Danse (the Dance House) we develop cultural initiatives in a social context, forging exclusive links with the key players in the local area. We were a resource for the team co-ordinating the parade of Lyon’s 8th arrondissement, making over 500 places available to parade participants. In partnership with community centres in the area (in estates such as Mermoz, États-Unis and Laënnec), we promote the discovery of dance through exclusive initiatives, free or heavily subsidised entry to performances, video lectures, meetings, workshops and access to open rehearsals.

We are actively promoting cultural access for the hard of hearing and we support Compagnie Acte's project exploring the landscape of the 8th arrondissement, "Habitants/Habitats, CORPS habités".
