Encouraged by the public success of his previous creation, Thierry Baë creates a follow-up to Journal d’inquiètude (at the Jorge Donn studio in November 2006), a piece full of laughter that questions the restrictions of the work of the choreographer and dancer. The reflection of Thierry Baë a disparu takes over where Journal d’inquiétude stops while revealing shadowy areas with a central query: what forces have enabled the artist to go beyond his limits, considering the breathlessness that increases with age? The question of extra-curricular practices such as yoga, Tai Chi Chuan and martial arts is at the centre of his theme. Thierry Baë is accompanied in this creation by the investigative journalist Denis Robert, made famous by the developments following the Clearstream affair. The wilfully funny comic is always present, as is the use of the image – real sepia photos, fictional reports, appearances and disappearances – in this improbable and chaotic scenario.
