CLAUDE BRUMACHON / BENJAMIN LAMARCHE
“So the characters will go from one subject to another, will rapidly happen and rapidly change, will be soft and tender, mischievous and clever, wizened and clawed, naïve and royal, mannered and headstrong, fragile, rich and poor, multifaceted bodies taken from the spirit of that exceptional man, Molière writes Claude Brumachon. This new show by choreographer Claude Brumanchon, with the assistance of his accomplice Benjamin Lamarche, is for all ages both young and old and gathers together eight dancers for a magical journey through Molière's world. A phantasmagoria in the company of the characters of the Illustre-Théâtre and Argan, the famous hypochondriac and his strange visions. The choreographer liberates and displays the imagination of Molière on stage with a hungry passion for the figures of this great repertoire. One can only savour and enjoy the physical and technical prowess, precise and original, carried along by a sound track that combines the harpsichord with electronic rhythms.
