L’HÉLICE
Norsud – Rendez vous sur la ligne de l’Équateur ! (2006)

A choreographed tale for children over five, a dream journey, Utopia, where North holds its hand out to South. A being of light and poetry from the other side of our boundaries – fairy? angel? – is working to bring together a young boy, North, and Sùr, a young girl who is from the other side of the Earth. Hope, charm, sharing and love come together on the Equator. Myriam Naisy’s dances are sculptured, textured, fluid, contrasting and poetic. The universe of sound lets children discover music from diverse horizons, with old music, jazz, contemporary and ethnic works, animal songs and 78s played on the gramophone. In cellophane and white waves, the stage design evokes a suspended, dreamlike world. The three players are superb with their charm and luminosity.
